Parts Required

Infrared Control Card.

provided by Rauland-Borg, you may need to send the manufacturer's remote to
Rauland-Borg) or learn the codes using the
RANIRIS
Infrared Capture Unit.

Installation
Note: Discharge
static electricity
from your clothes
or body before
handling the
RANIR
card. Touch a metal
surface to ground
yourself or use a
grounding strap.
Note: You may use
any
RANCC
16 (#1)
slot except for 5
and 16, which are
reserved by the
system for
controlling the
Video Matrix
Switch and
communicating
with control system,
respectively.

If you have not already done so, mount the
RANCC
16 into the rack.
2.
If it is not already off, remove the front panel of the
RANCC
16 by loosening the fou
r
small thumbscrews.
3.
Slide the
RANIR
card between the upper and lower white guides on the
RANCC
16
until it snaps into place.
4.
If you will not be installing additional cards, replace the front panel of the
RANCC
16.
Downloading
IR
codes to a
RANIR
card
Launching the
IRLIB
Program
1.
From Windows Program Manager, find the
RANGER
Configuration program group
and open it (it should look similar to Figure).The
RANGER
Configuration programs
are
DOS
programs that will be run under Windows. If the computer has only one
COM
port available for the
RANGER
system
,
close Media
PC
before starting
IRLIB.

Launch the
IRLIB
program by double-clicking on the “Configure
IR
Devices” program
