MODULAR DIMMING SYSTEMS (MDS)
MODULAR DIMMING SYSTEMS (MDS)
Leviton Modular Dimming Systems (MDS) are high quality, made to order, yet cost-effective convection cooled dimmer systems. The key
to MDS flexibility is the variety of dimming cabinets that fit together like building blocks. Modular construction and a variety of available
control options enable Leviton to build each MDS cabinet to meet each application’s unique requirements – with the exact number and
capacity of dimmers and specific accessories. Contact your Leviton sales representative for more details.
Applications and Features
Flexible design based on modular construction, including plug-in dimmers
Intermix 120V and 277V dimmers in a single enclosure; dim virtually any fluorescent dimmer ballast
100% solid state electronics
Completely convection cooled (no fan noise)
Optional UL1008 transfer contactor
Use with all Leviton control types including
DMX 512 & Luma Net
Applications
Office spaces
Closed loop daylight harvesting
Cafeterias
Ballrooms
Auditoriums
Houses of worship
Lecture halls
Conference rooms
Restaurants
Multi-purpose rooms
Office spaces
MDS DIMMING MODULES
With superior surge current capacity, Leviton dimming modules use Silicon
Controlled Rectifiers (SCR) for power handling rather than triacs. These
modular dimmers can be combined in systems with other Leviton dimmers.
Secifications and Features
Voltage regulation compensates for incoming line voltage variations
Toroidal filter with 500µsec rise time
MDS CONTROL MODULES
Fully programmable from the front panel for convenience
All load types supported for easy product selection and purchasing
Rugged dual-SCR dimmer circuitry for superior dimming performance and reliability
Contractor-friendly design with a large wiring space for easy installation
Communication inputs include DMX512, Luma-Net III, RS485, full bright, emergency,
and +0-10VDC analog for versatility
